The Master’s Hands
"that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." - Colossians 2:2-3
My spirit groans as my mind travels in circles. I yearn for certainty. Thank You my Lord, my God, my Savior, for being the hinge on which the door is swinging; the center of all movement; the one thing remaining still while the cares of the world swirl wildly around in utter chaos. But even this chaos is held by You. In fact, it is not chaos at all, but each movement is within Your perfect plan. How beautiful Your great will must be. In faith I believe, knowing that I am not the center. I do not hold a birds eye view.
How beautiful are Your craftsman hands! They hold me tenderly all the while molding and sculpting. You comfort me with Your Word as You hold me close to the flame so that I might melt like wax while you move me this way and that. I cry out in protest while You remove parts of me that I have so long thought to be necessary, even beautiful. But You are the Master Artist, and soon Your work will be complete. I will shine like the Son, in my Maker’s image. Thank you for your tireless work; for your patient love. Though my spirit groans with yearnings too deep for words, You have made me glad. You are my perfect peace There is none other.
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." -Colossians 3:23-34
